"The Saw is Family" A Tribute to Tobe Hooper - A Group Art Exhibit - I remember first watching The Texas Chainsaw Massacre on a gritty VHS tape in a high school friend's basement. The film carries an emotional weight throughout that is different from other horror movies. It is raw, intense, brutal…beautiful. Tobe Hooper, as a writer and director, has been responsible for so many iconic moments in cinema. When Carole Anne turns from the static of the television in Poltergeist and announces that "They're here…" it literally sends chills down your spine. From the incredible adaptation of Salem's Lot to films like Lifeforce and Eaten Alive, Hooper has delivered time and time again. He truly is a Master of Horror and we pay homage to his vision with this incredible art exhibit. This is what inspires us.
