Agony - A Group Art Exhibit - Curated by Lana Gentry Hyaena Gallery is honored to present a new, experimental group exhibit which marks the first guest curation of artist, Lana Gentry. The idea of this show was to pull together an eclectic group of artists who would explore the theme of Agony without limitations. This collaboration between Lana and the gallery involved focused discussions on shaping the exhibit as something that would appeal to our own personal curiosity on the subject. We wanted to see how each artist views the depths of their own suffering as well as the suffering of others. The artists who were invited to participate are from all walks of life, embracing Hyaena's practice of exhibiting experienced, visible artists alongside newer artists. Lana also specifically chose some artists who she felt would be emotionally inclined to respond in a truly explorational fashion. Since the theme is universal but deeply personal, we are looking forward to sharing this most unusual experiment with you. Also, at the event's opening Lana Gentry will be debuting the first print issue of Loburn magazine, a special edition containing her comprehensive 30 question interview with industry legend, Robert Crumb.
