Limited
Edition Lithographs by Robert Williams:
These
limited edition lithograph prints were meticulously printed with
a special lamination to intensify the beauty
and richness of the art. Limited to 4,000 copies these were part
of a set of 12 prints published in 1993 by the
Bane Gallery in Beverly Hills. A great number of these prints
were damaged and destroyed because of flooding
of the storage facilities during the Northridge Earthquake in
1994, adding to their rarity.

Pin-Up Prints by Art Frahm:
Art Frahm
(1907-1981) was a Pin-Up Artist from Chicago
who was active from the 1940s to the 1960s.
Commercially successful during his lifetime, his art
ranged from magazine cover illustrations and advertising
(including work for Coca-Cola and Coppertone) to
humorous hobo themed calendar paintings. Many of his
Pin-Up works were outstanding examples of the glamour
genre. His perfectly coifed, daringly dressed beauties
rivaled the work of Elvgren or Ballantyne. Today, however,
he is best known as the originator of the "Ladies in
Distress" genre of Pin-Up, based on images he created
for the Joseph C. Hoover & Sons calendar company. The
notable characteristics of these paintings involve beautiful
young women whose panties mysteriously flutter to the
ground in public situations. Leering men and laughing
women are prevalent in the background as well as a bag
of groceries clutched dearly by the embarrassed subject.
In one of Frahm's trademark idiosyncratic touches,
celery is often depicted. |

RICK
SHAPIRO Benefit Prints:
On April 13th (which
also happened to be his birthday), comedian Rick Shapiro (Lucky
Louie, Project X) suffered a "mild cardiac event" exacerbated
by a hypersensitivity to prescribed medication. After spending
60 days in the hospital, Rick is now back at home recuperating
and in the process of healing.
In order to help
offset a portion of Rick's medical expenses, we are selling these
two incredible, limited edition prints. Designed by artist Jim
Wirt (Rick's friend and website guy), these prints perfectly
capture the unapologetic, in your face attitude of Rick Shapiro's
trademark brand of comedy. So, please, buy a print and take home
a great piece of art while helping out a truly funny comedian
in the process.
Note: All of the proceeds from sales of these pieces will go
directly to Rick Shapiro and you can check out Rick's work on
the web at rickshapiro.tv |
