Kat's illustrations are a combination of Edward Gorey's aesthetic and Shel Silverstein's perspective which hold up well against the artwork of the timeless books we've loved since childhood. There is a perfect balance of sweetness and the sublime in her art that fuses charm with a memorable dark humor. There is a twisted fable injected into every piece with a story that is just dying to be told.
